Alice J. Etter, 99, formerly of Middletown, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Thornwald Home, Carlisle. She was the widow of Harvey P. Etter.
She was born on January 14, 1923, in Conewago Twp and was the loving daughter of the late Clarence and Sadie (Grubb) Fager.
Alice worked as a saleperson for the former J. J. Newberry’s, was an aid at the former Elizabethtown Hospital for the disabled and worked in the bakery at Irely’s.
She enjoyed oil painting, tinting black and white photos for her husband, baking, wordsearches and helping others. Alice loved animals, but her greatest joy was her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings, Melvin Fager, Mildred Kreiser, John Fager, Joyce Shenfeld, Ruby Crow, Ruth Williams.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Ruby Zeager (Kelly) of Elliotsburg; granddaughter, Kelly Miller (Scott) of Newville; great-grandchildren, Erin Miller, Jonathan Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the arrangements.
