Obituary for Barbara Lee Espenshade
Barbara Lee Espenshade, 76, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2023, at the UPMC Osteopathic Hospital.
She was born on March 2, 1946, in Hershey and was the daughter of the late Milton and Ruth (Keim) Daniels.
Barbara was a Teacher’s Aide in the Middletown Area School District for many years. She also enjoyed quilting and crafting of all kinds, loved her cats, and loved to travel. She also was an avid Penn State Football Fan and would attend as many games as she could possibly get to.
She was a member of the Palm Lutheran Church in Palmyra.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Espenshade; four brothers, Stanley, Sterling, Kenneth, and Robert Daniels and three stepchildren, Ralph, Kenneth and Frederick Espenshade.
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Espenshade; a stepdaughter, Kathy Menear; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra with the Rev. Carl Rabbe officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Barbara’s name may be made to the Humane Society or SPCA of your choice.
