In Loving Memory of
Barbara A. Tucker
November 6th, 1938- December 30th, 2022
Barbara A. Tucker, wife of the late Thomas Tucker Sr. and daughter of the late Charles and Marchia Ulmer, passed away in Middletown, PA on Friday, December 30th, 2022 at the age of 84.
Barbara lived a long, full life as a steadfast supporter of her family, friends, and the Middletown community she called home. She graduated from Middletown Area High School and Elizabethtown College with high honors. She was a retired teacher who spent her career teaching German and English at Middletown Area High School, and remained involved with Middletown athletics as a coach, officiate, volunteer and fan for the duration of her life. She was also the Treasurer of the Evangelical United Methodist Church on Water Street for over 60 years.
She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a loyal friend and neighbor, a mower of lawns, an animal lover, and a spoiler of grandchildren and dogs alike. She was well known for her generous heart, helping hands, strong will, fierce loyalty, and feisty spirit.
In her later years, she enjoyed taking long, daily walks around her Shope Gardens neighborhood, spending time with her family, friends and neighbors, showering dogs and children with treats, affection and love, sitting on her front porch, watching her favorite sports teams play ball, and playing with her great granddaughter, Aila Rose.
Barbara is survived by her children Thomas Tucker Jr. of Muncy Valley and Timothy Tucker, husband of Lisa Tucker, of Middletown, her grandchildren Rhiannah Beebe, wife of Adam Beebe of Mount Joy, and Summer Tucker, wife of Sean Frailey of Middletown, and her great granddaughter Aila Rose Frailey.
Rest in peace, Barb. You were always a pillar in our community and a beacon of support, love and friendship for all who knew you. We are so grateful for your presence in all of our lives. We love you.
