Obituary for Bobby Lee. Bright (Bretz)

Bobby Lee (Bretz) Bright, 73, of Middletown lost her long, hard fight with myelofibrosis on Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 11, 1946 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of Betty (Welsh) Bretz.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Earl W. Bright III; a son, Earl W. Bright IV and his wife Karen; a daughter, Lynn Ann Bright Brandt and her husband David; five grandchildren, Al (Alexa) Bright, Jacob Brandt, Zoey Bright, Joshua Brandt, and Ella Brandt; two sisters, Rebecca Bretz Runyeon and Robin Bretz Sloan; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bretz.
Bobby was a member of the New Beginnings Church of Middletown, the Piecemakers Quilt Guild, We Got You Covered (blanket makers) and the Sweet Potato Girls. She was an avid quilt maker and loved making quilts and blankets for the homeless and those in need.
She was a former employee of Gingrich Memorials, a former director of Christian Education, a Sunday School Teacher and Children’s Choir Director.
She was also an avid supporter of many Middletown Area School District Programs. Bobby was a longtime supporter of the Middletown Wrestling team and was known as their scorekeeper and biggest fan and a founding member of the Middletown Wrestling Booster Club. She was also a member of the Raider Club and served many years in the concession stand at football games.
Bobby enjoyed spending the summer traveling and looking for quilt shops while spending time at their camper at Tuckahoe Acres with her family and most of all, her grandchildren.
She was a volunteer for the Middletown Food Bank and would also assist with feeding the Red Cross workers during emergencies.
Lastly, she was a former Scout Master for the Cub Scouts.
Most notably, Bobby would do anything for anyone and loved everyone unconditionally. If you knew Bobby, this was a given.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at WITF, 4801 Lindle Rd., Harrisburg PA, 17111 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the memorial service at WITF.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made to, Middletown Area Alumni Association, PO Box 456, Middletown, PA 17057 to establish a Bright Family Scholarship Fund.
