Carol L. Hefflefinger, 78, of Highspire was called home to Heaven by Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 6. She was born on December 23, 1943 in Middletown, PA and was the daughter of the late John Bryan and Eva M. (Hammaker) Bryan. Carol loved cooking homemade meals from scratch, and baking cakes and cookies for her friends and family. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her many flower beds and house plants. She had a knack for painting beautifully detailed ceramic figurines. She absolutely adored her little dog, Lily.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Shelly A. Pohle and companion Vince Metzger, Beth Anne Fisher and husband Jeff, her son Matthew P. Matincheck, her brothers Ron Bryan and Denny Bryan, her sisters Pearl Persa, Jane Samo and Evelyn Lawyer, her Grandchildren, Tabitha and her husband Jason, Brittany, Emily and her husband Jordan, Josh, Joseph, Jaliyah, and Mason. Her Great Grandchildren Breanne, Paige, Hailey, Eliana, Olivia, Jayvon, and Myles. Carol was preceded in death by her son Herbert E. Sload, Jr, and her husband Dale E. Hefflefinger.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. A visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 PM, Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Falmouth Cemetery, Bainbridge, PA.
