Obituary for Carolyn Blanche Reider (Polm)
Carolyn "Blanche" Reider, 87, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 19, 1933 in Williamstown, PA and was the loving daughter of the late Clarence and Verna (Zerby) Polm.
Blanche was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Middletown.
She worked for the telephone company for many years until her retirement.
Blanche was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and St. Peter's Lutheran Church secretary for several years. She enjoyed doing ceramics, needlepoint, playing cards, going to her family's cabin and going to the beach. Her greatest love was being with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert L. Reider; daughters, Cheryl K. Daily (Keith R.) of Middletown, Susan D. Mauch (Charles) of Littlestown; sons, David A Reider (Kristen) of MD, Thomas M. Reider (Loretta) of Rheems; brother, Ronald Polm (Barbara) of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 121 N. Spring St. Middletown, PA. The service will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Blanche's name to her church as listed above.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
