Obituary for Cecilia P. Hix (Perry)
Cecilia P. Hix, 81, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side.
Cecilia was the widow of Donald L. Hix and was born on December 24, 1938 in Morehead City, NC to the late Hubert and Edna (Simmons) Perry.
Cecilia was a member of Colonial Park United Church Of Christ, Harrisburg. She was a retired secretary for the Three Mile Island and the State of Pennsylvania Treasury Department. Cecilia loved going to the beach and traveling with her husband but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Cecilia is survived by her son, Roger A. Hix, her daughter and son-in-law, Liesl L. and John D. Yohn, her grandchildren, Abby L. Yohn and Justin D. Yohn, all of Middletown, and her sisters, Sandra Lanier of Clemmons, NC, Karen Briggs of Pfafftown, NC, and Arleen O’Briant of Hiawassee, Georgia as well as many nieces and nephews.
A public viewing will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Colonial Park United Church of Christ at 5000 Devonshire Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. A private service will immediately follow the viewing at 11 AM in the church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Cecilia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Central PA.
