Obituary for Charles Henry "Chuck" Brown
Charles “Chuck” H. Brown, 60, of Middletown, went to be with his Lord and savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at home.
Charles was born March 30, 1962, in Middletown, PA and was the son of the late Oris H. and Gladys H. (Martin) Brown. A graduate of Middletown Area High School Class of 1980.
Charles was a member of Grace and Mercy Church Ministries, member of the former Middletown I.B.P.O.E. oF W. and employed by Phoenix Contact, and he loved all sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to sports, he loved to cook, making his favorites crab cakes and wings. He was a jack of all trades, doing flooring, fixing cars and the likes. He could be seen around his Church fixing anything that needed to be fixed. He loved working in the Church’s Food Bank, as well as helping those in need.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Martin.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Jenna Mayhew; his brother, James R. Martin and wife, Bonnetta of Harrisburg; his sisters, Emma Pettis, husband, Ronald of Lower Swatara Township, Pastor Florence Abdullah and husband, Al-Kareem of Middletown, Donna Wheat and husband, Collins of Ohio and Gladys Brown Dutrieuille and husband, Steven of Harrisburg, along with one grandchild, and host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 3, 2023 in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11am, with service at 11:00 am Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in East Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his church, Grace and Mercy Church Ministries, 501 Ann Street, Middletown, Pa. 17057
