Obituary for Charles W. Garman

Charles W. Garman, 92, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Traditions of Hershey, Palmyra.
He was born on January 30, 1928 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Harry Garman and Mabel Shaw.
Charles was a heavy equipment operator for the Federal Government for many years, worked for the Middletown Borough for 17 years, as well as the Hershey Corporation in various locations.
He enjoyed archery, roller skating, bowling and was in the drum and bugle corps.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 998.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra Garman in 2001 and several siblings.
He is survived by his loving children, Joyce Moyer and her husband Stephen of Middletown, Bruce Garman and his wife Julie of Middletown, and Janeen Garman and her husband Kyle Miller of Newport; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday February 28, 2020 at 7:00 pm at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown with the Rev. Lee Ellenberger officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until the time of services at the funeral home.
