Obituary for Dale Herbert Wise
Dale Herbert Wise, 71, of Bainbridge entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home. He was the widower of Dorothy (Lehman).
Born on February 17, 1951, in Harrisburg, he was the loving son of Anna Margaret (Hawn) and the late Harry Herbert Wise.
Dale worked for many years for the Borough of Marietta and enjoyed moving and setting up antique furniture in his spare time. He was also a member of the Marietta Fire Police for several years. His greatest enjoyment was watching his grandkids grow. He was always a fan of Mickey Mouse, old tv shows, Star Trek, and in his younger years, tinkering with fast cars. He loved cooking and sharing his creations with his family.
In addition to his wife and father, Dale was preceded in death by a son, Darneil H. Wise.
In addition to his mother, Dale is survived by a son, Daniel K. Wise (Shannen) of Bainbridge; daughter, Denise A. Wise (Seth Higby) of GA; sisters, Sandra Dunkleberger and Karen Wise (Kathy) of Middletown; grandson Cole Wise and Dante Higby and granddaughter, Brielle Wise; nephews, Andrew Neal, Chris Felker and Brian Felker.
A tribute to Dale's life will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11:00AM at Geyers United Methodist Church, S. Geyers Church Road, Middletown following with Rev. Amy Raser officiating. There will be a viewing at the church at 10:00 AM until the time of service. The service will be live streamed on the Matinchek Funeral Home website on Dale’s page for those who are unable to attend in person.
Burial will take place immediately following the service at Hillsdale Cemetery.
