Obituary for Daniel Barefoot Jenakovich

Daniel B. Jenakovich, 79, of Orbisonia, formerly of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle, Mechanicsburg.
He was born on October 27, 1940 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Charles and Thelma (Shoemaker) Jenakovich.
Daniel was a former member at Seven Sorrows Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church of Middletown. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Company after 42 years of loyal service. He was also a full time farmer, and loved farming. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Also, he was a member at the Middletown Anglers and Hunters as well as the Fulton County Sportsman Club. Daniel enjoyed hunting at the Billy Buck Hunting camp of Emporium, Pa. The activities he enjoyed the most however, were spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by David “Snooker” Jenakovich; Brother.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol M. Jenakovich; four children, Daniel B. Jenakovich of Middletown, Heidi J. Alexander (Bob) of Hummelstown, Laurie L. Hoch (Chris) of Blairs Mills, and Jennifer A. Weist (Colin) of Williamstown PA. In addition, he is survived by two sisters Jeannie K. McNulty (Michael) of Middletown and Harriett “Hoppy” Jenakovich of Harrisburg, and twelve grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
A private service will be held at the convince of the family.
The family has entrusted Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St. Middletown, Pa with the funeral arrangements.
