Obituary for Darlene Kay Stiffler (Goodyear)
Darlene Kay Stiffler, 63, of Marysville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 10, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the loving wife of Martin E. Stiffler for over 38 years.
Darlene was born on July 2, 1959 in Harrisburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Shirley (Heberlig) Goodyear.
Darlene filled many roles as a member of Rosedale Church of the Nazarene, including Sunday School teacher, Church Board member, and unofficial "hugger". She was known for her ever-present smile and brought joy to all she met.
She loved to "play in the dirt" as the Nursery Manager for Aqua-Niche for over two decades. In addition, she cherished her time as a substitute teacher for Susquenita School District.
Darlene is survived by her husband; her sons William S. Stiffler, Micah E. Stiffler and his wife Summer, and Samuel F. Stiffler and his wife Melody; her daughter, Mary E. Stark and her husband Jeremy; her brothers, F. Stephen Goodyear and Richard M. Goodyear; and her granddaughter, Winter Starry Stiffler.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, October 15, 2022 in her church at 1901 Rosedale Avenue, Middletown, PA 17057. A luncheon will be held immediately afterwards at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1605 Parkway W, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rosedale Church of the Nazarene (Memo: Good Samaritan Fund), or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
