Obituary for Diane Louise Rowe (Diane L. Roberts)

Diane Louise Rowe, 86, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2023, at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill, PA, surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 22, 1936, in Harrisburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Lynn L. Roberts and Margaret (Hartman) Bloes.
She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Middletown Presbyterian Congregation. Diane was an avid sports fan. She was a regular spectator at all Middletown sports events. She loved Penn State and was a season ticket holder for many football seasons. She was also a huge fan of the Phillies and the Hershey Bears. Aside from sports, she enjoyed traveling with her family on cruises, to Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina, and to Disney World.
Diane was a long-time secretary for the annual Middletown All-Sports Banquet, and she helped to organize her class reunions. She was a long-term employee of the Bankes Pharmacy, of Hersheypark, and of The Giant Center. She was a member of the Middletown Presbyterian Congregation, where she served as secretary for many years.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Rowe Sr. and her son Robert M. Rowe Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Judy (David); daughter-in-law, Mary Rowe; grandchildren, Kristy N. Mock (Shannon), Jennifer L. Renna (Joseph), Andrew Rowe and Caitlin Warner (Dustin); great grandchildren, Rowan, Rosalie, Ryann, Joey, and Xander; two siblings, Linda Balmer and Lee Bloes and her caregiver, Suzanne Brinser.
A tribute to her life will be held on January 19, 2023, at 12:00 noon at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorial contributions in Diane’s name please be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org or to the Blue and Gold club.
