Obituary for Doris Ann Wills (Boughter)
Doris Ann Boughter Wills, 87, entered into eternal rest to join her husband of 63 years, the late Edward A. Wills on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She passed peacefully in her Reading home.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the loving daughter of the late William LeRoy and Mary (Parker) Boughter.
She is survived by a sister, Joyce (Bobby); a daughter, Wendy; a son, Geoffrey; and a companion, Taryn.
She graduated from Northeast Junior High School to attend Reading Senior High School after which she studied nursing at the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and earned a Registered Nursing degree.
Her nursing career spanned 35 cherished years at Community General Hospital.
She read voraciously, she watched Turner Classic Movies endlessly, she believed Coca Cola was a preventative and cure all for practically any ailment - she imbibed frequently, and she thoroughly relished a heaping bowl of chocolate marshmallow ice cream.
Her greatest joy was loving, living, and sharing her life with her beloved 'Eddie'.
A tribute to Doris’s life will be held on September 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with Rev. Randall Grossman officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:30 PM until the time of service. The service will be livestreamed on the Matinchek website on Doris’s page for those who are not able to attend.
Burial will be at Hillsdale Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Doris's to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
