Obituary for Edith "Sis" Marie Kinsey
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Edith Marie "Sis" Kinsey. On Sunday, July 24, 2022 our mother entered eternal rest at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Sis was born November 2, 1933 in Middletown, PA and was the daughter of the late Kenneth S. and Catherine M. (Librandi) Barge. She is preceded in death by her 8th grade school sweetheart and then husband of 65 years, Kenneth R. Kinsey
and brother Kenneth S. Barge, Jr.
Sis was a graduate of Middletown High School Class of 1952. Sis and Ken owned and operated the former Sis & Ken's Snack Bar in Middletown. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church. She enjoyed attending her daughter Debbie's softball games and was without a doubt her #1 fan. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, shopping, going out to dinner with her daughters, and her visits with her grandsons. Her daughters and grandsons brought her the most joy.
Sis is survived by her daughters, Cathy Smith of Middletown, Michelle Kinsey of Hershey, Debbie Matincheck and her husband Nick of Middletown; grandsons, Kyle Smith, Luk Devorski, and Nicholas Matincheck.
She will always be remembered for her smile that always brought love and joy to all of us, no matter the circumstance. She showed us girls by example what it meant to be a loving mother who lived by "family always comes first", a sentiment that we will cherish and live by.
