Obituary for Eileen Kay Boyer

Eileen Kay Boyer, 77, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2022 at the Elizabethtown Rehabilitation and Nursing Center under the good care of Grane Hospice. She was born December 10, 1944 in Harrisburg, PA to the late John Pershing and Mildred Irene (Witman) Boyer.
She was a 1962 Middletown Area High School Graduate as well as a Penn State University Alumni and avid fan. Eileen worked for the United States Navy and the Federal Government before opening her own consulting firm. In her youth, she was a medal winning figure skater. She enjoyed spending time on Beach Island, enjoying water skiing and hanging out at the river. She enjoyed the time she spent with her former classmates and their card club. She was an avid CNN watcher and animal advocate.
She is survived by 2 cousins, Tammy Frank and husband Larry and Lorri Witman; first cousins once removed, Lisa Frank Deter and husband Jeremy and Allison Frank Peiffer; and second cousins, Brayden, Emma, and Alexis; a best friend, Lana Harding of Easton, MD; and many lifelong friends. She was proceeded in death by her beloved felines, Midnight and Bill.
There will be no services in accordance to Eileen’s request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremations Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, PA 17057.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisburg Humane Society, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111.
