Obituary for Ellen M Witters

Ellen M. Witters, 95, of Harrisburg, formerly of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at The Manor at Oak Ridge retirement community.
She was born on December 6, 1924 in Lebanon and was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Theresa (Uffner) Brandt.
Ellen was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed knitting and doing puzzles but her greatest joy was being a mother to her children. At the age of 92, she learned how to use an iPad to communicate with her family via FaceTime. She was very logical in her thinking and often provided solutions to problematic situations that seem to escape her children and was extremely kind and sweet.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Philip E. Witters Sr., a daughter, Esther Clugston, a grandson, Brian Evans, a great-granddaughter, Taylor Martin and seven Siblings.
She is survived by her loving children, Rosemary A. Ramirez (Dave), Terry L. Evans (Larry), Debora J. Yankey (Karl), Anita M. Cassel (Jeff), and Philip E. Witters Jr. (Sean); Nine grandchildren, David F. Ramirez, Philip M. Ramirez, Dawn M. Martin, Jennifer A. Brignola, Kenneth D. Clugston, Wade B. Yankey, Jessica L. Yankey, Troy M. Cassel, and Brett L. Cassel and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A tribute to her life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ted Keating officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services, Monday, in the Narthex of the church.
Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
