Obituary for Elsa H. Van Boskirk (Hoener)
Elsa H. Van Boskirk, 86, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 2, 2023 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the widow of Andrew S. Van Boskirk.
Elsa was born on August 16, 1936 in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Elsa K. (Klein) Hoener.
Elsa was a retired elementary school teacher from the Middletown Area School District. She loved being a teacher and enjoyed all her of students over the years. Elsa’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great grandson.
Elsa is survived by her son, Jeffrey S. Van Boskirk (Tamara), her daughters, Jamie L. Van Boskirk (Rick) and Joanna E. Sweigart, her grandchildren, Jensen N. Sweigart (Jeremy), Jamiesen E. Hunte (Josh) and Cyrus A. Sweigart (Aylin), and her great grandson, Bronson P. Hunte.
Elsa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Ardis Comer and her son-in-law, Scott Sweigart.
Services will held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, PA. Condolences may be sent online at www.matinchekfuneralhome.com
