Erlinda (Linda) Nieto Emenheiser, 70, of Mt. Joy, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2021 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1950 in Manila, Philippines to the late Esteban and Ramona (San Mateo) Nieto.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Marlin Emenheiser, Sr.; 2 children, Marilenn Nolen and husband Richard, and Mark Engle and significant other Megan Kinsey; she was Lola to Rachel, Trevor, and Danielle Nolen and two step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Francisco, Ernesto, and Eduardo Nieto and Maria Lea Nieto DiVittore; and 3 step-children, Marlin Emenheiser, Jr. and wife Dee, Julia Spigelmeyer and husband Timothy, and Wayne Emenheiser and wife Michele. She was predeceased by a daughter, Arlin dela Cruz; and 4 siblings.
Erlinda worked for Donegal Industries as a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed singing, dancing and playing Mahjong. She enjoyed crabbing and was an avid gardener, who loved to grow flowers as well as food she would later prepare for her family. Her greatest passion was gathering her family together to share a meal and many laughs. When she couldn’t see her family in person, she loved to Facetime them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Lola), sister, aunt (Tita), and friend who will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to a public viewing on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, PA 17057. Due to Covid, services will be private, but may be watched livestream at 1:30 PM (1/19) or any time following the services on www.matinchekfuneralhome.com and going to Erlinda’s memorial page.
