Obituary for Frank R. Waple Sr.
Frank R. Waple Sr., 81, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Frank was born on June 2, 1938 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Charley and Izetta (Griffith) Waple.
He was a member at the Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown where he also was a church Elder, a Deacon and a Trustee. He was also a member of the Middletown Lions Club and a member of Prince Edwin Spring Creek F&AM Lodge #486.
Frank was a graduate of Hershey High School class of 1956. He worked at Helm’s Chevrolet as the Body Shop Foreman for 21 years as well as retired from State Farm where he was an Insurance Estimator Supervisor for 24 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Carol Waple; two children, Frank R. Waple Jr. and his wife Sherry and Linda Eppley and her husband Keith; four grandchildren, Alison N. Gilg and her husband Jan, Brett J. Waple and his wife Lauren, Matthew Eppley and Lauren Eppley; two great-grandchildren, Emilie Gilg and Vivienne Gilg; and one brother. Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Presbyterian Congregation of Middletown.
After the Covid-19 recommended restrictions are lifted, there will be a public memorial service. We will be announcing the memorial service once we know when and where it will be held.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown to handle the arrangements.
