Obituary for Gary E. Kohler
Gary E. Kohler, 70, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Frey Village Nursing Center.
He was born June 16, 1950 in Harrisburg and was the loving son of the late Marlin and Elsie (Stahl) Kohler.
Gary was a member of the American Legion and Rescue Fireman's Home Association. He enjoyed going to his cabin on the river with his grandkids but his greatest love was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Barr.
Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Theresa (McKeever) Kohler; son, Gary M. Kohler of Marysville; Jody Koncar (Steve) of Middletown, Kim Murray (Jack) of Middletown; Catrina (Lynne) Martin of Carlisle; sister, Gayle Mowry (Terry); grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Bailee, AJ, Alison, Jeffrey, Harley; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A tribute to Gary's life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with John McIver officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Interment will be at Middletown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Rd. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
