Obituary for Gene N. Manfred

Gene N. Manfred, 66, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital.
He was born on July 2, 1954 and was the son of the late James V. Manfred and Madaline (Bohn) Manfred.
Gene was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War era.
He was a member of the St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Middletown.
Gene was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Middletown Blue Raiders sporting events and countless years of dance recitals. He also enjoyed playing Sudoku, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, James V. Manfred Jr., Ken Manfred and John Manfred.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Deb (Hipple) Manfred; two children, Angie M. Miller and her husband David of Middletown and Gene N. Manfred Jr. of Middletown; two sisters, Lu Ann Ishaq and her husband Cappy and Margie Proto and her husband Andy; six grandchildren, Zachary, Katie, Shelby, Lexie, Nattie and Ella; sister-in law, Kathy Manfred, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
