Obituary for George M. Dunn Jr.
George M. Dunn, Jr. of Middletown entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home.
He was born October 7, 1947 in Hershey, PA and was the loving son of the late George Sr. and Emma (Bellaman) Dunn.
George enjoyed hunting, fishing and drag racing. He would like to sit and listen to the bible read to him by his good friend.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Debra (Roosa) Dunn; stepdaughter, Tina Myers.
George is survived by his son, George M. Dunn, III (Kimberly) of Elizabethtown; sister, Betty Crater (Lenard) of DE; grandchildren, Johnathan Myers, Lisa Abromits; great-grandchildren, Julia Blouch, Ariel Abromits; close family friends, Nevin Kreider (Mary) and their children.
A tribute to George’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Strickler’s Mennonite Church, 3256 Schoolhouse Rd. Middletown, PA with Pastor J. Mark Hostetter as celebrant. There will be visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
Burial will be at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, 8489 Licking Creek Rd. Mifflintown, PA 17059.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in George’s name by mailing a check and donation form from https://www.stjude.org to St Jude at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
