Obituary for George Anthony Kolarosky Jr.
George Anthony Kolarosky, Jr. 77, of Middletown entered eternal rest on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. He is the widower of Karen (Jefferson) Kolarosky.
He was born on February 4, 1946 in Washington, PA and was the loving son of the late George, Sr. and Mary (Fartro) Kolarosky.
George was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He worked for the Federal Government where he retired after 26 years of service.
George earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington & Jefferson College.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 329 Elizabethtown and former member of the Elizabethtown VFW.
George enjoyed golfing, poker, playing cards, and was a Steelers fan. His greatest love was his family.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Kolarosky (Susan) of MD, Timothy Kolarosky (Daisy) of Middletown; brothers, Paul and John (Evanne) Kolarosky; grandchildren, Sophie, Marcus, Timothy and Tianna; ten nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Sahd as celebrant. There will be a viewing from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors following mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in George’s name to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1013 Mumma Road Suite 203, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
