Obituary for Gerald Hal Christian

Gerald H. Christian, 63, of Middletown, formerly of Wisconsin, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior January 27, 2021 surrounded by his wife Cindy, stepdaughter, and step-granddaughter.

Jerry retired from Michael’s Pipeline after 26 years as a pipeline/operator. He worked in 48 of the 50 states. He also worked 7 years as an operator for Arney Brothers, Inc. locally.

Born October 27, 1957 he was the son of the late Ewald and Mildred (Schraub) Christian of WI. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by Amy Christian; a brother, Bruce Christian; and niece, Wendy Christian.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Cindy Christian; 3 brothers, Kenny Christian, Dale Christian, and Scott Christian; a sister, Patsy Laab; a daughter, Karen Vollmer; a son, Chad Christian; a stepdaughter, Melissa Potteiger; a stepson, Ryan Slothower;2 step-granddaughters, Hope Stansfield and Sierra Slothower; a step-grandson, Levi Stansfield; a grandson, Kaleb Christian; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry had love for the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and angler. He was especially enjoyed big game hunting and ice fishing.

Jerry will be sadly missed by all. The family would like to thank Hospice of Central PA (Toya), American Legion Post 594 (Pam), JD’s Junction (Tracy), and the rest of you know who you are that were there loving and supporting Jerry through his illness.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later time.
