Helen D. Ridley, 88, of Elizabethtown formerly of Royalton entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Charles K. Ridley.
She was born June 8, 1934 in Middletown and was the loving daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes (Ryan) Hahn.
Helen worked for years at Wert Book Binding from where she retired. She went on to work for Karns well into her 80’s.
She enjoyed going to the casino, playing BINGO, reading, hummingbird watching, cooking, baking and watching the Phillies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by five siblings, grandson, Nathan Brown.
Helen is survived by her son, Michael C. Ridley (Sylvia) of Elizabethtown; daughters, Karen M. Brown (Allen) of MD, Joann M. Ridley of Elizabethtown; brother, Robert Hahn of Middletown; sisters, Mary “Shirley” Rice of TX, Maria Douglas of Elizabethtown, Dorothy Nagle (Gary) of Hummelstown, Jackie Powell (Ken) of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A tribute to Helen’s life will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of Service.
Interment will be at Middletown Cemetery.
