Obituary for James Arthur Fisher
James Arthur Fisher, 69, of Harrisburg entered eternal rest on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Viva Senior Living, Harrisburg.
He was born November 2, 1953, in Pottsville and was the loving son of the late Harold A. and Elizabeth (Zeeb) Fisher.
James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam.
He was a member of the Liberty Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 125. James enjoyed woodworking, doing projects around the house, and was a gun collector. His greatest love was his family.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his faithful dog companions, Skipper, Brandi, Shammy, Evee, and Lizzy.
James is survived by his son, Christopher J. Fisher (Jennifer E.) of Middletown; ex-wife, Cynthia A. Fisher of Shippensburg; cousins, Larry Fisher, Ruth Adams, Jean Sweigart.
A tribute to James’s life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with Rev. Shawn Van Dyke officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with full military honors.
