Obituary for Janice E Clarke
Janice E. Clarke, 86, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Hershey Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born April 17, 1933 in Yeagertown, PA and was the loving daughter of the late William and Henrietta (Eastwood) VanBoskirk.
Janice was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Middletown. She was in the Dorcas Class at church.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Astro Chapter 552.
Janice enjoyed sending cards to shut-ins, playing pinochle and bridge, and going to lunch once a month with her Middletown High School class of 1950 alumni.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Walter Jr.; brother, Andrew VanBoskirk; grandson, Zachary Clarke.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Clarke (Mindy Munk) of MD, Mark Clarke (Atsuko) of Middletown; daughter, Valerie Stricker (Greg) of Hummelstown; sister, Kathryn VanBoskirk (Susan Diodati) of AZ; grandchildren, Christopher, Maggie, Richard, Samantha, Mitsuko, Hitoshi; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Zoey, Shuto, Kotone, Iroha, Yugo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 64 Ann St. Middletown, PA with the Rev. Naylo Hopkins officiating. There will be a visitation from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Janice's name to Four Diamonds, 1249 Cocoa Ave #115, Hershey, PA 17033.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
