Obituary

Jean (Kinsey) Egenrieder, 95, of Middletown, peacefully passed away Wednesday December 23, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 14, 1925 to her late parents Elmer and Elizabeth (Espenshade) Kinsey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John W. Egenrieder, her sister Dorothee Griel, and her bothers Harold and Donald Kinsey.
She is survived by her sons Edward of Middletown and John (Pat) of Bainbridge, daughters Connie and Terry (Howard) Majzlik of Middletown, granddaughter Erin (Justin) Roller and their daughters Kyleigh and Kiersten, grandson Josh (Karly) Majzlik and their sons Beau and Krew, granddaughter Tameka Bowman and her children Jordan, Malachi, Seth, Josh, and Ella.
Jean’s greatest treasure was the time she spent with her family and her lifelong friends. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, bingo and 50+ years of card parties. Jean was an avid sports fan with her favorite sport being tennis and her favorite player “her Roger”. You could often find her along the sidelines of her children or grandchildren’s sporting events. She was their biggest fan!
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown with the Rev. Ted Keating as Celebrant. Visitation will be in the Narthex of the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass on Wednesday.
Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg, will immediately follow the Mass.
Our family extends profound thanks to the staff of the hospice agencies who provided loving care to Mother over these past several years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the children’s charity of your choosing.

Connie, Ed, Bones, Terry and all your families, I was so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. She was such a blessing for you to have as a mother, and you were all certainly blessings in her eyes always! I have the fondest memories of all our gatherings in your home while growing up. Such a beautiful Mass, I’m grateful to be there in spirit through the livestream. Bones, your eulogy was heartfelt and so moving, and Kyleigh and Josh were eloquent lectors, as well! Your Mom was blessed to have such loving care from each of you. May your faith and love-filled memories carry you through your grief.
Love, Beth Faust

The Baumbach siblings: Taffy, Don,Randy and Mary Jane. With fond memories of your mom and family. She influenced Mjs love of gardening, and Sunday family gatherings at "the farm". You all are to be commended for your steadfast loving care for both your parents.
