Obituary for John Roland Brubaker

John Roland Brubaker, 80, of Middletown entered eternal rest on March 24, 2022, at the Middletown Home. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Brubaker.
He was born on November 9, 1941, in Harrisburg and was the loving son of the late John DeWitt and Elpha Arlene-Faye (Mathias) Brubaker.
John learned the meaning of hard work and was raised gardening and training horses and pigs. He participated in 4-H and enjoyed hunting, fishing and learning different trade work such as, concrete, drywall, and painting. John self-taught the art of wood crafting and would spend long hours woodworking and going to craft shows. He took tremendous joy in assisting his son Todd in his softball coaching endeavors.
Pop-pop, as his grandchildren lovingly called him, loved his family and attended many sporting events for all the kids.
He worked at Hershey Abattoir prior to getting a job at Crawford Generating Station as Chief Repairman and retired as Chief Repairman at TMI from 1st Energy.
John gave back to the community by serving on the Board of Directors for Middletown Boro.
In addition to his wife, John was blessed with two children, Lisa Anne Brubaker of Middletown and Todd John Brubaker of Rheems. He was tripled blessed with three grandchildren, Logan Bru Buffington, Emily Jane Brubaker, and Jolie Millie Revenis who’s affectionately known as Peanut to Pop-pop.
