Obituary for Judith A. Douglass (Brandt)

Judith (Brandt) Douglass of Middletown PA entered into eternal life February 12th 2021 due to covid complications but not without giving it one heck of a fight.
She was born on February 18th 1948 and was the daughter of Scott L Brandt and the late Ethel Brandt of Middletown.
She retired from AMP Inc and held several jobs through the years but always enjoyed being a waitress because she loved serving food & drinks and making everyone smile.. she was the ultimate hostess in every way.
She graduated from Middletown high school in 1965.
She is survived by her husband Billy ‘Elm’ Douglass of 51 years ; by her children Nikki Douglass and Scott Douglass; her three sisters Kim Thomas, Lori Moorehouse and her husband Kevin & Sue Bracht and her husband Stan;two grandpups Gracie Lu & Tater Tot and the love of her life and absolute pride & joy her grandson Brendan Douglass as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Judy.
Judy spent many hours supporting the community, the veterans and members of Legion Post 594, Middletown & Seven Sorrows athletes & sporting events and feeding many Raider football players through the years especially her famous goulash & chili .
Judy had many ‘happy places’ but for almost 26 years her happiest of all was on Shelly island lot 85 where she made every visitor to her cabin feel welcome and where she found a whole new group of friends forever known as her river framily. Judy also held dear to her heart her lifetime cherished friends, her beloved brother and sister in laws and touched so many with her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and big heart.
Due to the current restrictions services will be private. We will be live streaming the service on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Please go to Matinchek Funeral Home website then to Judy's page and under photos and video for the link.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later time when we can properly gather with friends and family to honor her wish of throwing a big party with the theme of ‘ thanks for inviting me I had a great time.’
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of her Mother Ethel Brandt to the Alzheimer’s Association act.alz.org or to The Elizabeth Loranzo iCare Foundation in honor of her special friendship with Wendy Lorenzo at the icarepa.org
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
