Obituary for Judy A. Dettorre (Doyel)

Judy Ann (Doyel) Germer-Dettorre, 73, of Highspire entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 1949, she was the daughter of late Mary Jane (Pettit) Gallagher and Allan Jack Doyel. She was raised in Middletown by her loving grandparents, the late Mary and William Pettit.
Judy had four children of her own and is survived by her oldest Wesley Doyel of Seattle, Washington, Sharon Harig (Norman) of Lewisberry, Adrienne Dodson (Kevin P.) of New Bloomfield, and her youngest Vincent Dettorre of Highspire; along with her five grandchildren, Milo, Connor, Maxwell, Deidra, and Camron.
She and her youngest son Vincent shared a home together for the past 32 years as well as many adventures and the love of all kinds of activities. They did everything from camping, crafting, sewing and movies to traveling. They had three cats, Simba, Katrina, and Little Bits who they adored.
Judy was the type of person who enjoyed talking, joking, and laughing with her friends as well as being kindhearted and willing to help others. On her down time Judy would love to read the books that she collected or buy plants and flowers to care for and brighten up her home. She was also proud of her accomplishment of receiving her certification as an EMT.
To celebrate Judy’s life, we will be holding a gathering in her honor at Kiwanis Park, 50 Canal St. Middletown Pennsylvania. All family and friends from near and far are welcome to attend, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 2:00pm-5:00pm. More specifics will be on Judy’s Facebook page.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA with arrangements. Condolences may be made online at www.matinchekfuneralhome.com
