Obituary for Karen Lee Kolarosky (Jefferson)

Karen L. Kolarosky, 72, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center.
She was born November 5, 1948 in Fannettsburg, PA and was the loving daughter of the late Leroy and Frances (McLaughlin) Jefferson.
Karen was a federal government employee for 42 years having worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA, U.S. Army TACOM in Warren, MI, and New Cumberland Army Depot in New Cumberland, PA. She also worked as a dog groomer in Middletown, PA. Karen enjoyed crocheting, football, and dogs, but her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George A. Kolarosky; sons, Matthew A. Kolarosky (Susan) of Marriottsville, MD, and Timothy J. Kolarosky (Daisy) of Middletown, PA; sister, Katy Roschel (Charles); four grandchildren, Sophie, Marcus, Timothy, Tianna; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 11: 00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St. Middletown, PA with the Rev. Fr. Ted Keating as celebrant. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17111.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
