Obituary for Katelyn H. Uhl
Katelyn H. Uhl, 33, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Hershey Medical Center.
She was born on September 23, 1989 and was the daughter of Barbara Holderness Uhl and the late Matthew Uhl.
Katelyn was a graduate of Penn State with a degree in Biology. She was very accomplished in her career as a clinical scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. Katelyn had a smile that would light up the room. She enjoyed traveling and had many adventures such as diving in the Great Barrier Reef. Katelyn loved the beach, especially in Avalon, NJ where she shared many happy times with family. Katelyn was creative and her artistic ability was shown in her paintings.
In her younger years, Katelyn was a cheerleader and an accomplished gymnast. She loved her fur babies, her dog Maverick and her cat, Cali. Katelyn was a kind and caring soul and she loved her family more than anything.
In addition to her mother, Katelyn is survived by her maternal grandmother, Lucille Holderness and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Please wear bright colorful clothing to celebrate Katelyn’s bright smile.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Timothy Sahd as celebrant. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 260 E. Main St. Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Katelyn’s name please be made to the Brain Injury Association of PA at biapa.org/donate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
