Obituary for Larry William Hess
Larry W. Hess, 77, of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on July 27, 2020 in Ft. Myers, FL.
He was born on October 28, 1942 in Palmyra PA and was the son of the late Charles and Caroline (Herr) Hess.
Larry loved making people laugh. He was a true entrepreneur and enjoyed woodworking, traveling and was an avid boater.
He was a veteran having served in the Army National Guard.
Larry started a company called HammerTek in 1981. He went on to run the company until 2015.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Miaja Cornelius and her husband James of Allentown; two grandchildren, Taryn Marek and Jace Marek; two sisters, Kathy Lingle and Eileen Hess; two brothers, Jeffrey Hess and his wife Charmaine and Gregory Hess and his wife Laurie; one niece Kelsey Lingle and a nephew Jeremy Hess.
A memorial service will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 at New Hope Church, 584 Colonial Club Dr. Harrisburg, PA 17112 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chad Hogue officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until the time of service.
A private burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
