Obituary

Lawrence H. Carr, 90, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Lawrence was born on July 12, 1929 in Shamokin, PA and was the son of the late Victor L. and Anna (Kline) Carr.
He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Larry was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church where he volunteered working for the Lenten Appeal and as an usher for many years. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Cleveland Brothers.
Larry was an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He was mighty happy that he got to see the Eagles win their 1st Superbowl. But his greatest joy came from the love of his family, especially his granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth L. Carr and a brother, Victor J. Carr.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Carson and her husband Donald of Harrisburg and two grandchildren, Sarah and Holly Carson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown with the Rev. Ted Keating officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, the burial will be private.
