Obituary for Lee A Tyson

Lee A. Tyson, 87, of Maytown entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
He was born on October 25, 1932 in Montour County and was the loving son of the late Fred U. and Ruth (Walburn) Tyson.
He was a 1950 graduate of Coal Twp. High School.
Lee was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
He retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Depot where he was an electronics technician. Prior to his position at the Naval Depot he worked for Olmsted AFB, Middletown.
Lee was a member of the American Legion Post 594, Middletown. Throughout the 70's he was a little league coach for his children's teams. He enjoyed bowling, pinochle, golfing, tennis, hunting, fishing, and watching all sports. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jean Tyson; brother, George R. Tyson.
Lee is survived by his sons, David L. Tyson of Middletown, James M. Tyson (Michele) of Middletown; daughters, Cynthia L. Stichter (Richard) of SC; Ann Marie Beaver (Timothy) of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St. Middletown, PA with Fr. Ted Keating as celebrant. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass on Monday.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Lee's name to Seven Sorrows Church.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
