Obituary for Mary Ruth Landvater (Givler)
Mary R. Landvater, 79, of Hummelstown, entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2023 in the Carolyn’s House- Hospice Residence, Harrisburg, PA. She was the widow of Paul E. Landvater.
Mary was born on February 19, 1944, the daughter of late Elmer H and Mary R (Parthemore) Givler, Sr.
Mary was a retired Toll Collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. She loved reading and playing cards. Mary also loved going to lunch with friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her son Steven Landvater; her brother, Elmer H. Givler, Jr. and her sister, Joan M. Blackwell.
She is survived by her grandson, Jeremy Landvater and his wife, Ashley; her brothers, Robert W., Harvey E. and Ronald L. Givler; her sisters, Dawn Foreman, Cathy Yoder, Linda Davis and Susan Riehl and her great grandchildren, Emily, Samuel and Timothy.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
