Obituary for Michael E Barwell
Michael E. Barwell, 65, of Mechanicsburg, entered into eternal rest suddenly at the UPMC West Shore Hospital on September 13, 2022.
He was born on August 28, 1957 in Tacoma, WA and was the son of the late Donald L. and Elaine M. (Nordmoe) Barwell.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the races, but his greatest joy was spending time with his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Schmidt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dawn (Bush) Barwell; a daughter, Heather A. Berdanier and her husband Reese of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Dale Barwell and his wife Diana of Tacoma, WA; three grandchildren, Ariana Berdanier, Cameron Berdanier, and Liam Berdanier as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s name be made to cure GM1 Gangliosidosis at www.curegm1.org.
