Obituary for Paul M. Cooney

Our noble, sweet son Paul Cooney was a compassionate soul that brought joy and humor to everyone he came in contact with. Paul loved to travel and see America, and enjoyed "down home" gatherings to play with his nephews and niece, and family and friends. He was a great drummer, loved sports, music, animals, and nature.

He will be remembered most for his ability to love unconditionally, seeking the best side of life. Hopefully he has passed this on and his legacy will continue.

Paul was 36, from Middletown PA, and is survived by his mom and dad, Deb and Bob Cooney, his brothers Keith and Tim Cooney, nephews Eden and Isaiah, niece Violet Cooney. His uncles, aunts, cousins are many in survival as well as his most beloved grandmother Lois Cooney who he cherished so dearly.

Paul is gone physically due to brain cancer. But we will remember him always and celebrate knowing him through conversation, looking at sunsets, listening to birds, and kindness.

Any donations to animal shelters, environment causes, state or local parks in his name would be a great tribute. A future gathering will be announced at some time to celebrate his life.
