Peggy L. Snyder, 68, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Thomas Jefferson Health Center, Philadelphia.
She was born on December 5, 1952 in Harrisburg and was the daughter of Joyce (Cole) Altemara and the late Robert Patterson Snyder.
Peggy worked 20 years as a catering manager for Covenco. She was a member and bartender at the Rescue Firemen’s Home Association and the Anglers and Hunters both of Middletown. She also retired from UPS after 10 years. She enjoyed yearly vacations to the beach with her family and trips with her friends. Watching movies, yard work, and laying by the pool were also some of her favorite pastimes. Her greatest joy was just spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Reigle and a brother, Duke Snyder.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving son, Dan Snyder and his wife Elita Miller-Snyder of Steelton; her companion, Rick Barb; three siblings, Patti Hummel and her husband Jeff, Robert Snyder, and Jan Aichner and her husband Tim; two grandchildren, Alfred D. R. Snyder and Brittani Miller; one great-granddaughter, Elani Miller.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, services and visitation will be private. There will be a livestream of the services on our website, www.MatinchekFuneralHome.com on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
The graveside portion of the funeral service will be public at the Middletown Cemetery on Monday, February 1, 2021 following the funeral services.
