Obituary for Quinn Emerson Barnhart

Quinn Everett Barnhart passed away one month shy of his 70th birthday on March 13, 2021 at home with his loving wife by his side. He fought a courageous battle against small cell lung cancer.
Quinn was born on April 13, 1951 to the late Emerson and Elenore (Uhrich) Barnhart.
Until recently he lived most of his life on Colebrook Road in Londonderry Township, Middletown.
Known as Barney to many friends, Quinn graduated from Lower Dauphin High School in 1969. He was known for working on friends' cars and his own foreign cars.
Working as a mechanic most of his life on foreign cars, diesel engines or heavy equipment, he began his own business, Quinn Equipment in 1992. Without advertising, he business flourished due to a stellar reputation.
Work was his hobby, whether repairing, building or teaching others. Being on a motorcycle or tending to his property's projects was his relaxation.
Quinn was married for 46 years to Theresa (Terry Hoover). His focus of family included his children, Samantha Chavarria (Jacob); Lucas Barnhart (Kristy); and Dustin Barnhart (Kimie McBride), 4 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and his siblings, Sharon Duncan (David), Nedra Williams (Lee), Kevin Barnhart-Warren (James), and Kristen Barnhart (Karen Dausch). The family idolized and respected Quinn with deep love. He also was blessed in life with many nieces, nephews and in-laws who will miss him.
Services will be held at convenience of family with internment at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers please consider charitable donations in Quinn's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Quinn loved children and knew the heartache of cancer. Also Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, who provided Quinn care in his final months.
