Obituary

Rita T. Slusser, 91, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Frey Village Nursing Center, Middletown.
She was born May 26, 1929 in Shamokin, PA and was the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Valeski) Gregorowicz.
Rita was a member of Seven Sorrows BVM Catholic Church, Middletown.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards with friends, and would do anything for anyone. Her greatest love was taking care of her family and supporting them in everything they do.
In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her husband Walter Slusser and son, Peter Slusser.
Rita is survived by her son, James Slusser (Michelle); daughter, Sharon Slusser Boyland (Stephen) of Middletown, Susan Slusser Moyer (Marc) and daughter-in-law, Christine Slusser; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St. Middletown, PA 17057 with Fr. Ted Keating as celebrant. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
Interment will be private.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
