Obituary for Robert F. Gallagher

Robert F. Gallagher, 88 of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on February 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on May 24, 1933 in Allentown, PA and was the son of the late John Eugene Gallagher and Lillian Mae Kehm.
He attended William Penn High School.
In addition to his parents, his brother Eugene Gallagher and sister Jane Vandergrift, Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, June Gallagher and a daughter Tena Gallagher.
He is survived by 3 children, Teianna Librandi and husband Todd, Robert E. Gallagher and wife Marylou, and Rockney Gallagher; two sisters, Mae Lee and Doris Major; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was in the PA National Guard for 8 years. He was a lineman for 40 plus years at P P&L before retiring. He was an official for PIAA football, basketball and baseball for over 30 years.
He was fortunate to officiate the Big 33, state basketball and baseball championships all in one year. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and all the Philadelphia teams especially the Eagles & Phillies.
His hobbies were stain glass and listening to music. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Most of all, he loved spending time with all his grandkids and great grandkids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 21st 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Derry St. with Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church.
Luncheon to follow at the church.
