Robert "Pete" A. Patton
Robert "Pete" Arthur Patton, 89, of Harrisburg, PA entered into eternal rest on August 26, 2020 at Homeland Center. He was born on February 9, 1931 in Middletown, PA and was the son of the late Harry and Phoebe (Coble) Patton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Gottschall) Patton; 2 brothers; and a step-sister. Pete is survived by 3 children, Deborah Herneisey and husband Bradley, Greg Patton and wife Lynn, and Gary Patton and wife Kimberley; 4 grandchildren, Spencer, Joseph, and Maggie Patton, Elle Hoffmaster; and 2 step-grandchildren, Christian and Connor Strine.
Pete was an avid golfer and an all around handyman. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 594. Most importantly Pete was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Inc., 260 E. Main St., Middletown, 17057. Social distancing and other Covid-19 precautions will take place during the viewing. The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Wesley UMC, 64 Ann St., Middletown 17057.
