Obituary for Ronald Jay Geesey
Ronald Jay Geesey, 84, of Middletown entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 26, 2022, at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. He was the husband of Mary (Diffendiffer).
He was born December 29, 1937, in Middletown and was the son of the late Roy F. and Harriet M. (Condran) Geesey.
Ron was a graduate of Middletown High School, member of the marching band, along with belonging to the Chocolatier Drum Corps.
He retired from Ingersol Rand.
Ron was in the PA Air National Guard.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, dirt track racing and driving around in his old Plymouth with his son Todd, but His greatest joy was being with his family especially his great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by eleven siblings.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Jill Klawitter (David) of Harrisburg, Todd Geesey of Middletown, Jeff Geesey (Vicki) of Middletown; sister-in-law, Ellie Geesey; grandchildren, Devon Klawitter (Ashley), Mike Klawitter, Logan Klawitter (Melissa), Tanner Geesey (Katie); great-granddaughter, Holley Klawitter; several nieces and nephews; many great friends.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1605 Parkway W, Harrisburg, PA. There will be a visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ron’s name to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
