Obituary for Rose Marie Bennett
Rose M. Bennett, 69, of Susquehanna Twp., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Born on September 7, 1952, in Harrisburg, PA, Rose was the daughter of the late Joseph Bennett and Margaret Sease (née Knull).
Despite being a huge NY Yankees fan, for which her children have forgiven her, Rose also was a diehard North Carolina Tar Heels fan. Carolina blue was by far her favorite color; you didn’t have to look hard to find her wearing her Carolina gear. As an avid UNO player, she played to win, especially when playing against her grandchildren. An inveterate traveler, Rose was blessed to have traveled extensively during her life including trips to Athens, London and Seoul.
More than anything, Rose was first and foremost a wonderful and amazing Mother and Nana. Her great pride and joy was her family. Every opportunity and moment possible she spent with them. She doted on her family, and she showered them with love. Rose was at her happiest and most joyous when surrounded by loving family members.
Rose will be deeply missed by her children, MAJ Paul Lloyd and his wife Allyson; Angela M. Lloyd and her husband Michael Richer; and Steven E. Gelata and his wife Breigh Flickinger; her grandchildren, Ethan and his partner Sydnie, Emma, Alexander, Colton and Greyson; and her siblings, Wayne “Mike” Sease and his wife Liane; Linda Bennett; and Bertha “Sis” McFarland and her husband Robert (Pinky). Rose was preceded in death by her brother, John Sease.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. A visitation will be from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, Saturday in the funeral home.
