Obituary for Ruth R Sellers

In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 21, Ruth slipped quietly into the arms of her waiting Lord. She was 91. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Sellers, her parents, Harrison Krepps and Dorothy (Metz) Keller and brother, Robert Krepps. Left to celebrate her life are her two daughters, Kathy (Tom) Dupes, Hbg, Jackie (Sam) Rainal, Elizabethtown, four grandchildren, Samuel Rainal, Elizabethtown, Michelle (Grant) Garrison, Grantville, Anthony (Jen) Henrich, Anchorage, AK, and Bethany (Mark) Tomassetti, Lititz, sister, Helen Hickernell, MA, six great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born and raised in Middletown and she and Jack were loyal Blue Raider fans. Ruth was a 50+ year member of the EUM Church, Middletown. She attended Middletown Area High School. She retired from H.B. Reese Candy Company, after 30 years of dedicated service.
Faith and family were the two most important things in Ruth’s life as well as getting her hair done every week. And then there was the perfect shade of soft silver rose lipstick – never left home without it. She was an inspiration to those who knew her. Most Sunday evenings you would find the family gathered around Ruth & Jack’s dinner table, followed by cards, games and so much laughter. And when they put a pool in, the family was there every week-end swimming, barbecuing, fellowshipping and laughter. Ruth loved cooking and enjoyed serving her family.
Ruth spent the last two years of her life as a resident of the Middletown Home, where she was welcomed, embraced and loved on by a host of nurses, aides, and the staff. They not only embraced her as family, they embraced and loved her entire family, as well. Their care for Ruth was exceptional and she loved them all.
Per Ruth’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
