Shawn Patrick Maynes, 64, of Middletown entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Kadima Nursing-Campbelltown. He was the devoted husband of Robin C. (Calhoon) Maynes.
He was born on July 17, 1958, in Philadelphia and was the loving son of the late Leo P. and Judith L. (Garver) Maynes.
Shawn served in the US Navy and went on to serve and retire after 30+ years from the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
He enjoyed going to SYFI conventions, playing video games, and listening to Irish music at Irish festivals. His greatest love was his family.
In addition to his wife, Shawn is survived by his son, Ryan Maynes; daughter, Rae-Ann Maynes; brothers, Danny Maynes, Dennis Maynes; sisters, Maureen Robbins, Kathleen Henricks; four nephews and two nieces.
A graveside burial will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Shawn’s name to, American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas TX 75231.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
