Obituary for Shirley Ann Miller (Bardo)

Shirley Ann Miller, 84, of Harrisburg entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born November 1, 1935 in New York and was the loving daughter of the late Steven D. and Hellen (Wert) Bardo.
Shirley was a member at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She held numerous positions for the Senate of PA and other local government offices
Shirley was a committee woman for the Republican party for 30+ years. She was a member of the Harrisburg school board as well. She enjoyed cooking and fancy things but her greatest love was spending time with her family and the love for animals.
She is survived by her sons, Harry A. Miller (Jackie) of Newbury, Christopher M. Miller (Jennifer) of Middletown; brothers, Ron Bardo, Steven Bardo (Donna); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St. Middletown, PA 17057 with Fr. Ted Keating as celebrant. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's name to Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17111.
The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
